It is more important that audio monitoring match with other audio amplifier or recording devices at all levels. If it is improper connection, it not only affects products pickup effect, but also will damage the products and other equipment.
(1)Signal level matching: When connect to audio monitoring, you must pay attentionto the difference between the input and output signal level of all equipment. If the front-end equipment input signal level is too large, it will cause nonlinear distortion, otherwise, it will reduce the SNR of the reproducing system, can't even drive next equipment’s amplifier. If it appears incompatibility of signal level in practical use, you can reduce the input signal level through attenuator circuit, or improve input signal level through amplifying circuit. For audio monitoring, its output signal level more than 0.75 ~ 1 Vpp, so you can directly into the audio equipment "Line In" port.
(2)The impedance matching: If impedance mismatch when audio monitoring connect speakers or other equipment, it will make the uneven distribution of the amplifier output power, or because of the large damping to make transient performance of sound become bad. Generally, there are balance and imbalance this two kinds of impedance matching connection. Balance refers to the impedance of transmission signal two core shielded wire to ground is equal. Imbalance refers to the two core shielded wire, there is one grounded. When balanced output connected to the unbalanced input, you must add the matching transformer to matching. Please note: output impedance of audio monitor is 600 ohms imbalance.
Audio monitoring connect with recording equipment, hard disk video recorders, IPC and the PC sound card through all kinds of connectors to complete, there are some kinds of common connector as following：
(1)Two core/three core plugs：mainly use on transmiting the signals of all kinds of equipment and as input signal plug of audio monitoring. According to its diameter, divided into 3 kinds: 2.5 mm, 3.5 mm and 6.5 mm.Two core plug is mono, three core plug is binaural.
For example: Walkman earphones or computer active loudspeaker use may be three core stereo plug as shown in picture 2. Left right two earplugs or speakers, correspond to left and right channels of audio plug. This audio monitoring only provides 1CH audio source, so it is "mono" audio source. Audio lines of audio monitoring can be individually or simultaneously connected to left/right channel, the common ground wire of audio monitoring connect to audio ground.
(2)RCA plug: It is mainly used as a line input and output plug between audio equipment and video equipment.
(4)Using both ends with 3.5mm stereo plug audio tieline connect to the 3.5mm jack of sound console or audio input terminals of computer sound card.
