SIZHEHNG TECHNOLOGY teaches you how to recognise audio monitoring microphone and microphone
From:The Site Author:admin Time:2016-5-16
Microphone (also referred to as Mic ), it is a kind of transducer which can convert sound into electrical signal. However, what are the main differences between audio monitoring microphone and microphone? You will understand the real reason from the following brief description.
Audio monitoring is designed to be high sensitivity and omni-directional, it has integrated preamplifier circuit. Therefore, audio monitoring can directly connect to DVR, active loudspeaker, earphones, etc.and play the voice out directly. And microphone need to connect to power amplifier, because ordinary microphone is directional and low sensitive, have to talk at a close distance .
On the hardware, the audio monitoring has increased voltage stabilizing circuit, frequency selective circuit and audio preamplifier, that is why the audio monitoring need input power. But microphone does not have these equipments.
On the range, the microphone expand receive scope just only by improving the sensitivity, but audio monitoring can be expanded the monitoring range by adjusting the power consumption of the product and gain. This is the great advantage of audio monitoring on the adjusting range.
The Difference And Using Between Line in and Mic in
On our computer sound card, generally it have two interfaces: Line in and Mic in , both are input ports, but there is difference :
1. Line in port: the port is mainly used to connect to outside equipment such as electric guitar, keyboard and synthesizer to recording of audio signal output, due to large output power of these equipments, so you need to connect to the Line in port to recording. If you use the sound card with better quality, the noise in Line in will be lower, recording effect will be better.
2. Mic in port: it is mainly used to the microphone for recording. But the difference between this port and the Line in is that it has a preamplifier, in other words, the microphone output power is small, so there must be an external amplification equipment to magnify the audio signal. The port is to play the role. If you make microphone connect to Line in... There is no sound or small voice, right? Simple reason, the signal of microphone has not been amplified, the effect is not good.
3. Special emphasis: The external audio equipment can not directly connected to the Mic in to recording, such as electric guitar and synthesis etc. Because when it recording, this kind of connection will cause a serious distortion signal or damage the hardware devices, such as sound card.
